I learned about my passion for ophthalmology early in my medical career, which made my transition to ophthalmology easier. After my initial training in ophthalmology at JIPMER, India, I moved to Singapore. I underwent Advanced Specialist Training and sub-specialty training in Neuro-ophthalmology and Medical retina at Singapore National Eye Centre, Singapore.
The beauty and charm of Aotearoa attracted our family to migrate to New Zealand in 2018. I have consultant appointments at Greenlane clinical center (Auckland DHB) and Counties DHB. I consult and operate at Eye Doctors for private patients.
I specialize in:
- General Ophthalmology, Cataract surgery, including multifocal and toric intraocular lenses,
- Medical retina including Age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion.
- Neuro-ophthalmology including, optic disc edema, idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
